Midwinter Sewcial: Sew What’s New?
Christine from Brother NZ is coming to my studio for the afternoon, and we would love you to join us. Expect good coffee, plenty of embroidery chat, and two hours of discovering what your Brother embroidery machine can really do.
Here is something I see all the time: most of us only ever use a fraction of what our machines are capable of. Maybe there is a feature you have been a bit nervous to try, a setting you have never quite worked out, or a button you have simply never pressed. You are in very good company, and that is exactly why Christine and I are putting this afternoon on.
This is not a formal class, and it is definitely not a sales event. It is a cuppa and a catch up with people who love this craft as much as you do. My hope is that you head home inspired, more confident, and itching to try something new on your own machine.
On the day, Christine and I will be sharing our favourite tips, hidden features and clever shortcuts. Not the showy stuff, just the little tricks we reach for all the time and wish more people knew about. My favourite moment at any of these afternoons is hearing someone say:
“I had no idea it could do that!”
We will also have the Brother Stellaire and Celeste machines set up on the day, so if you are curious about them (or quietly plotting an upgrade) you can see them stitching up close, have a play and ask all the questions you like.
Whether you have had your Brother machine for years or it is still practically in the box, there will be something here for you. There will be plenty of time to swap ideas with the other embroiderers in the room too. And if we are lucky, we might even talk Christine into a few hints about what Brother has coming next. Assuming she is allowed to tell us anything, of course.
And one more thing. Christine and I have a little extra planned for everyone who comes along. I am not going to spoil it here, but I can promise you will not be heading home empty handed.

💰 Cost: NZ$10 per person
Your ticket includes tea, coffee, light refreshments, two hours of embroidery talk with people who completely understand the thread stash situation, and a little something to take home.
Reserve your place
There are only ten tickets, and that is deliberate. A small group keeps the afternoon relaxed and means everyone gets a proper chance to ask questions and get hands on. It does mean your ticket is your seat though. With just ten spots I cannot take walk-ins on the day, so if you would like to come, grab your ticket below and the spot is yours.
